      • Just to give a little idea of my TBR, I have around 60 tabs opened on my mobile of different SS/Os/FFs, and I haven’t gotten around to most of them. It’s a constant, never-ending tug-of-war between my asli duniya, and sapnon ki duniya 😩😩

  16. A new ficverse hunt 😁 Girls! My faith in this fandom is never gonna shake, not just because 4 years in and I’m still just as addicted if not more, but because I see so many others are still around and kicking and keeping the madness – I mean the passion – alive. 🤗❤

    Now fair warning, when I read the post, I could only recall one or two, but I dug deep in my archives, and I came bearing GIFTS, (Yes, in caps :3 ).
    We don’t do thanksgiving and Christmas in my corner of the world, but Happy Holidays to everyone who’s celebrating. 😊

    Why: Because what “young Arnav & Khushi” fic-hunt could be complete without this absolute gem?
    Where: unfortunately this story had been taken down a couple of years back.
    May of last year, when Jen was wrapping up Silver Sands, she teased that A Late Spring & A Bride with a Doll might be published someday. But then she disappeared until last month where she left a note about her having to take time off because of a diagnosis, health issues, in a loved one..
    While that ignites a little hope that we just might get to fall in love with those stories once again sometime in the future. In the meantime, our love and prayers for her and her loved ones to be safe and healthy.

    Why: Because it’s Ridz, and it’s a beautiful BEAUTIFUL love story weaved through pen-pal letters that turned from an instant friendship to a beautiful love story that had me wishing for a pen-pal connection of my own, and guess what? I found an app that not only provides the pen-pal services, but it forgoes the instantaneous nature of today’s social media, and instead, the letters take as much time to go and come back as they would through real-life post office. The excitement and the build-up of the wait are a welcomed old-fashioned experience, and totally worth it.
    PS: I know you said “complete” but I couldn’t resist, this story deserves to be mentioned. Maybe we can encourage or motivate Ridz into bringing it back.

    Why: while “Flowers” is mainly about the adult version of Arnav and Khushi and their journey to overcome years of friendship and pain and finally find their way to each other with only flashes or mentions of their young counterparts, “Love stories for tedious people” is a collection of one-shots that’s only about their younger years. So I guess that makes it qualify?

    Excerpt from Flowers grow from my knees:
    There is no absolutes in this universe. A comet can traverse the same path over and over and over and over barely missing the big object that’s just there at the edge of its path. The tail barely manages to miss this object always in the pull of the comet’s head. But the object’s gravity is something the comet’s tail cannot escape. It’s only a matter of time when the tail doesn’t miss the object. No. It’s a cosmic gala. It’s quiet, it’s spectacular when the comet’s head cannot pull the tail anymore as the object’s gravity overpowers it by a thousand times. It’s exponentially beautiful as the tail slows down, detaches itself from the comet’s head, sighs in relief and settles around the object.
    Finally finding its resting place and being where it truly belongs.

        Granted, I had to dig through the archives, but it was well worth it.

        The ficverse with its compilations and hunts have provided me with most of the stories i love today. Some I haven’t gotten around to read yet, some I had lost the links to, and so many I loved so much I still read again and again.
        It was my absolute pleasure to give back to this community, you know. 🤗😘

      • I’d rather say it was a gentle motivating pat. But it is the truth.. To me personally, ITM is one of my favorite Arshi stories, not only because your writing is beautiful, the style, the way you convey emotions, the story-telling, etc. But mostly because it is a unique concept. One that, as I had already mentioned, had me feeling both jealous and inspired to find that connection for my own self. Not necessarily in a romantic way, but just connecting to people around the world and building pen-pal friendships.

        It’s a shame that when I read it the first and second time, I was still in my silent-reading phase. I guess I was so eager to finish it, that i kept telling myself that I’ll read it again, and leave my thoughts.
        So, I’m happy you haven’t taken it down. I’ll be here waiting for you to finish working on it and open it again. This time however, I promise you’ll be seeing so much of me around in the comments. 😊
